Shakespeare Hills Eggs/Shakespeare Hills Beef

Matthew Gunningham and his wife Pippa farm in partnership at Mawbanna in NW Tasmania. They own and manage 2 x 700 cow certified organic, 100% grass fed dairy herds and 5000 laying hens (2000 of these are certified organic).

The have a dairy beef operation selling beef cross calves to other farmers and finishing cattle on their property that are sold through the local butcher and also direct to consumer.

This year they hosted the inaugural Grassroots Festival – a 2 day event focused on soil health, pasture species, animal welfare, marketing, farmer stories, renewable power and farmer health and wellbeing. They are currently working on Grassroots 2025 program.

Matthew will be speaking at Conversations in the City ‘Seeds of Transformation’ on Friday 2nd of August.
