Marijke Dunselman
CEO/Founder, Agritourism NZ
Marijke Dunselman is one of New Zealand’s leading tourism business and marketing consultants and has worked with farmers for over 26 years.
She founded Agritourism NZ in 2019. Its mission is to increase awareness of agritourism opportunities to diversify farm income and increase resilience. This is facilitated this through training programmes, networking, advocacy & research, and marketing.
Other work experience includes working for several corporates internationally, including Heineken, Randstad, KLM (Dutch airline) and in market research and education. She also worked as C.E. of Tourism Southland, a regional tourism organisation in New Zealand.
Marijke is the chair of Education Committee of the new Global Agritourism Network.
Her qualifications include: Master of Entrepreneurship, Bachelor of Business (International Marketing), Dip.Teaching – Secondary School (French & Economics).
Marijke grew up in the Netherlands, France and the USA and speaks four languages. She emigrated to New Zealand 29 years ago.
