Cameron Matthews, after a notable tenure at Spicers Retreats, ventured into his own culinary projects with Winston, a chef residency in Noosa, and later The Paddock Restaurant at Hazelwood Estate. His career is marked by innovation and support for local producers, earning him numerous awards and recognition as an industry leader.
Matthews has held prestigious roles, including Executive Chef de Cuisine at Siggi’s and Executive Chef at Sirromet Winery’s Restaurant Lurleen’s, contributing to their acclaim.
His self-taught, playful, and thought-provoking style has been celebrated at Simone’s of Bright and The Long Apron, where he maintained a ‘Two Hats’ rating and received national accolades. A Churchill Fellow, Matthews continues to influence the culinary world as a judge, presenter, and advocate for local food festivals and sustainable practices.
His passion for the craft and local seasonal produce defines his ever-evolving dining experiences.
