As part of the Community Day program at agriCULTURED 2025, OzHarvest Tasmania and Material Institute will deliver The Community Feast, a belly filling and interactive food experience that brings people together through shared cooking, learning, and connection.

Set to take place on Thursday, 31 July 2025, the event will see 20 community members from Launceston’s Northern Suburbs community join OzHarvest and Material Institute Chef’s in the kitchen to co-create a delicious, nourishing meal using rescued and local produce. This hands-on session will offer practical insights into food sustainability, food waste prevention, and affordable meal preparation.

After the cooking session, participants will serve and enjoy the meal alongside community guests, creating a shared table experience that promotes dignity, inclusion, and a sense of belonging.
