Caroline Brown
Cider maker for Brady’s Lookout Cider
Layered by outdoor experiences, Caro is a sum of many parts …one part entrepreneur, one part policy maker, two parts positive deviant and three parts creative.
As cider makers for Brady’s Lookout Cider, Chris and Caro Brown are predominately producing methode traditionelle sparkling ciders using old school techniques. Redeveloping a vineyard in the Tamar Valley to also be a destination cidery, they are highlighting the importance of preserving heritage cultivars and demonstrating the positive impacts of eco-efficiency through conservation. Their desire is to encourage others to act with an ecological balance in mind.
Caro has worked in Government in policy and industry development roles. Together with extensive experience in agriculture and the finance and investment industry, her formal qualifications cover areas such as climate change, natural resource management and social impact.
Caro is a Graduate and Fellow of the Australian Rural Leadership Program. She is also a Chevening Fellow, having received this prestigious Fellowship by the British and Foreign Commonwealth Office to study in the United Kingdom on how to transition to a low carbon economy.
Caro is happiest with her husband Chris connecting into nature and volunteering in the creative arts.
Caro will be speaking at Conversations In The City – Closing Plenary.
